My name is Steven McMillan. I am a symphonic music specialist with over four decades experience performing solo, chamber music, and orchestral repertoire on the violin and viola.
Welcome to my site. The life of a professional musician can be quite varied and interesting. We typically are seen on stage, but there is a great deal that goes into supporting that public part of our discipline.
In order to supplement our activities and incomes we educate, operate, businesses, produce digital content, etc.

MY BACKGROUND:
Since earning Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in 1980, I have performed as concertmaster and soloist with orchestras throughout the US and internationally. In recent years I have been performing regularly as violin section leader for the Victoria Symphony Orchestra, Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra, Laredo Philharmonic, and the Houston Latin American Philharmonic Orchestra.
